Guar Gum, CAS# 9000-30-0, is initially isolated from the endosperm of guar beans, available as white to yellowish-white, nearly odourless powder. Guar Gum poses similar thickening effect as tara gum and locust bean gum, as the active substances of all these gums are the galactomannans.
